Tim Fenemore
Tim is currently on secondment to the new nuclear, Sizewell C project in Suffolk, to develop the construction logistics strategy for the major civil works which exceed £15B in value. His commission requires him to examine the supply routes into the new build (road, rail and sea) as well as the internal logistics required to support mass material movement and workforce mobility. The project will become the largest civil engineering project in Europe as it supports the UK securing 3.2 GW of sovereign clean energy and will necessitate an industrial scale approach to resource supply and on site manufacturing of construction elements in modular form.
Prior to joining the Sizewell C team, Tim has had accrued four decades of experience in industrial engineering, starting as an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer with Rolls Royce in Derby in 1982. Over the past 20 years he has held C-suite executive management roles in manufacturing, technology and major project construction. His expert knowledge of the application of lean principles and his advocacy of Shigeo Shingo’s SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) philosophies has guided some of his most impressive achievements in industrialising logistics in mega projects, factory environments and within technology and assembly precincts.
