Brigadier (Retired) Grant Mason DSC DSM brings more than 35 years of distinguished service with the Australian Defence Force and over two decades in senior leadership roles across Australia and the United Kingdom.

As Managing Director of Empower UK, Grant leads the expansion of Empower’s presence as a trusted advisory and delivery partner across the defence, transport, water and nuclear energy sectors—driving growth in alignment with the BMD Group’s Towards 2032 strategy.

A strategic leader with deep expertise in international relations and defence transformation, Grant is guided by Empower’s values of family, collaborative, driven and empowered. He views his role as a continuation of his lifelong commitment to building capability, trust, and resilience for Australia and its allies.

Before joining Empower, Grant headed the Australian Defence Staff – London, where he was instrumental in strengthening and modernising the Australia–UK defence relationship during the establishment of AUKUS.
